숨 | Breath

이번 “숨” 전시에는 빛과 숲을 담은 작업을 하는 유진구, 강대진, 장신정 작가 3인을 선보인다.

유진구의 ’순환의 공간‘에서 점과 선으로 만들어진 반복적이고 교차적인 움직임은 빛에 따라 생성되고 소멸된다. 이와 같은  율동은 관람자의 시선을 모으기도 하고 분산시키기도 한다. 이러한 시선의 변화는 사고의 변환을 이끌어내고 시공을 초월한 공간 여행을 체험하게 한다. 전시공간은 관람자를 무한한 상상의 공간으로 인도하는 길목이 된다.

강대진은 소나무의 사실적 질감과 그들의 껍질의 중후함을 드러내기 위해 켄버스 위에 물감을 나이프로 중첩되게 올리는 기법을 사용한다. 소나무의 연령은 껍질의 두께로 알 수 있다 한다. 그 오랜 역사와 함께 영원성의 기원을 표현하기 위해 겹과 결을 쌓아 올리는 수행과 같은 행위를 반복적으로 행한다.

장신정은 예술을 통해 경계를 넘나드는 자유를 추구한다. 캔버스 강박을 무심히 바라보고. 점과 선과 색 사이 한 순간에 드러나는 무한한 자유. 그렇게 캔버스 표면에 드러난 형상과 그 내면의 숨겨진 세계를 넘나들며 유희 한다. 사막에서 살아가는 식물 다육이 뼈섬에 초록으로 피어올랐다. 제어장치가 고장 난 듯 더 많이 쌓고 더 높이 성장하기 위해 내달음질치는 물질만능주의 사회의 한 구성원으로 나의 삶에대해 질문을 던져본다. 나는 누구인가? 우리는 무엇을 향해 달려가는가?

The exhibition "Breath" will feature three artists, Yu Jin Goo, Kang Dae Jin, and Jang Shin Jeung, who work on light and forest.

In the "space of circulation" of Yu Jin Goo, repetitive and cross-sectional movements made of dots and lines are generated and dissipated according to light. Such movements attract and distribute the attention of the viewer. This change in gaze leads to a transformation of thinking and allows you to experience space travel beyond time and space. The exhibition space becomes a path that leads the viewer to an infinite imaginary space.

Kang Dae Jin uses a technique of putting paint over Kenbus with a knife to reveal the realistic texture of pine trees and the gravity of their shells. It is said that the age of a pine tree is determined by the thickness of its shell. Along with its long history, acts such as stacking layers and grains are repeatedly performed to express the origin of eternity.

Jang Shin Jeung seeks freedom to cross boundaries through art. Looking at the canvas compulsion indifferently. infinite freedom revealed at one moment between point and line and color. In this way, they play across the shape revealed on the surface of the canvas and the hidden world inside it. Plant succulents living in the desert rose green on the bone island. A materialistic society that builds more and grows higher as if the controls were broken. As a member of society, I ask questions about my life. Who am I? What are we running for?
